What if you do not have any premium backlink checking tool? In that case, you can extract the list of backlinking domains from Webmaster tools itself.
– Sign into Google Webmaster Tools and select your domain name. From there navigate to Search Traffic >> Link to your site. Here you will find the list of all the fields.
– Next, you are required to get in touch with the location owners and request them to remove the link to your site.
NOTE – in this method, the response rate is so great, but again it is one of the safest methods to eliminate the bad back links.
Step 2 – Generating a disavow links text file
On webmaster tool, we are required to upload the text file containing all bad links. Remember, Google prefers it in a particular format.
Do not fear! We have the shortcut approach for you to create disavow text file.
Instead of going through the lengthy process, just use the disavow file creator. Here, all you need to do is copy the URLs of bad links which your site has.
As soon as you paste all the URLs, press the button “Create Disavow File”. That is it!
Within a second you will see browser downloaded the .txt File.
A quick note on Disavow Links
It is an advanced feature which is subjected to proceed with great caution. If someone fails to use it within the guidelines, then it can affect the performance of the website on Google search results. It is recommended that one should use the disavow links when there are a substantial number of low quality or fake links directing to your site.
How to use it?
– Visit the Disavow links tool page and select your domain name.
– Once it is done then click on the “Disavow Links” tab
– Immediately the new page will pop up asking you to upload the TXT file.
Step 3 – Submitting the TXT file on the Google Webmaster Tool
Finally, we are at the last step of the process where we just need to submit the downloaded file on Webmaster tool.
